Hard Due Dates

Hard Due Date

School and Academic libraries may wish to use hard due dates to truncate due dates at the end of a semester.  You can have one hard due date for all of the schools in your district or different hard due dates for each of the schools in your district.

You can also have different hard due dates for faculty, library staff or students.  For example, you may want to have regular loan durations apply to students until the end of term when they start to truncate while faculty members always get to check out items for the entire year, and library staff are never bound by hard due dates..

If you wish to use hard due dates please contact Balsam Support with the following:

  • Date or dates for the hard due date – one for the entire school system, or different ones for each of the schools.
  • To whom the hard due dates should apply – faculty, students, staff or everyone.
